What shapes the teaching
Nabila's work combines long-term tutoring experience with an osteoarthritis research background, giving students a structured way to approach difficult subjects, exam pressure and future planning.
Her osteoarthritis research background supports an analytical approach: break the problem down, understand the evidence, then build a clear route forward.
Students receive support across Mathematics, English, Science and Religious Education, with lessons shaped around understanding and confidence.
Support covers 11+, grammar school entrance, GCSE preparation, university applications and apprenticeship applications.
About Nabila Alam
Nabila Alam is the lead tutor at National Rising Scholars and a researcher in osteoarthritis. Alongside her research work, she has spent more than 20 years tutoring students of different ages and abilities.
Her academic and research background shapes the way she teaches: lessons are analytical, structured and tailored to the individual student rather than built around a generic template.
Future planning
Over the years, Nabila has supported hundreds of students with their academic progress and future planning. She has guided more than 100 students through university and apprenticeship applications.
That support has helped students apply for competitive fields including Medicine, Law, Accountancy, Engineering, Teaching and other professional routes.
Teaching philosophy
The aim is not only to help students improve academically, but to nurture confident, independent learners who have the skills and self-belief to succeed throughout their education and beyond.
Nabila takes time to understand each student's strengths, challenges and learning style before shaping the support.
Lessons focus on clear explanations, targeted practice, revision habits and the academic techniques the student needs next.
Students are supported to become more independent, more prepared and more able to take pride in their progress.
A short call is the easiest way to discuss tuition, entrance exam preparation, GCSE support or application guidance.
